Wood treatment information
During production, the tables are treated with Tanalith E in accordance with European standards and are then dried.
Tanalith E is a treatment that gives wood a longer life but which does not contain any arsenic or chrome. As a result, this treatment is also environmentally friendly. The wood is impregnated at high pressure in a vacuum, which gives the wood a longer life. Furthermore, the treatment ensures that the wood fades to grey less quickly due to the effect of UV light. Tanalith E gives the wood a greenish-bronze (similar to a Celfix treatment) to greenish-brown colour. This colour will fade over time (6-12 months).
The wood is therefore pre-treated against greying and rotting, but an extra treatment with oil can never do any harm. Furthermore, with an extra treatment, you can always change the appearance of the poles. We recommend that, after use, the poles should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place. Prevent the wood from being stored when damp in a poorly-ventilated room.
